Think you are ready to schedule the test but aren’t quite sure?

      Have taken it once, failed and are ready to take it again, but want to have a study plan that will succeed?

If you are licensed in Ohio as an LSW you can receive 10 CEUS for completing the course. 

I am an authorized trainer of the Social Work Examination Services which publishes an outstanding two-volume study guide. (Go to www.swes.net to learn more about their resources.)

 We teach specific strategies and tips to help you carefully analyze the questions, we teach core concepts in human behavior, clinical practice, DSM IV-TR, cultural competence, administration and ethics. We expect you to be an active learner. We then drill, drill, drill using selected sample questions to integrate these content areas with the intent of each question. You will be asked to complete assignments between each class. Repetition over three weeks can help imprint the broad scope of material that is tested on the exam.

 I am offering three-week intensive courses,  the next one scheduled for the week of Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Cincinnati. Don’t live here? Beginning in mid-August the course will be available online in a multi-user format: five students, one teacher, each one seeing and hearing the other in real time.

 Each group will meet for two two-hour sessions per week for three consecutive weeks, twelve hours in total. Groups will consist of 5-8 persons and meet as follows:  Tuesdays 6:30–8:30 PM and Saturdays 10 AM - 12 noon.  (Other schedules including morning hours can be scheduled as needed. Call for specific info.)

Fee:  $345.00 for the twelve hour course, the *SWES two-volume guidebooks* and 10 CEUs (if eligible).

 * SWES two-volume "Comprehensive Study Guide and Practice Questions" which contains more than 1500 sample questions and detailed explanations of the answers, as well as a clearly organized summary/outline of all the subjects covered in the test. This is the text that will be used for the course.
